The Statistical Service announces the publication of the bimonthly bulletin “Monthly Economic Developments” for the period January-April 2026. The bulletin presents the course of the main economic developments for the Cypriot economy for the last months, up to and including April 2026, as well as comparative data for the last four years, which were available until June 16, 2026.
Note: The Trend depicts the long-term evolution of a series observed over a long period of time. It is the result of influences such as population growth, technological development and general economic development.
Manufacturing Production, during the period January-March 2026, recorded an increase of 0,5% compared to the period January-March 2025.
The total area of Approved Building Permits reached 661.4 thousand square meters during the period January-February 2026, recording an increase of 54.9% compared to the period January-February 2025.
Total Motor Vehicle Registrations recorded an increase of 15.1%, reaching 18,570 during the period January-April 2026. Private saloon cars amounted to 12,866, an increase of 18.2%, and light trucks reached 1,781, an increase of 13.4% compared to the January-April 2025 period.
The Consumer Price Index increased by 1,1% during the period January-April 2026, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Total Imports of Goods amounted to €4,697.0 million. for the period January-April 2026, recording an increase of 4.8%, and total Exports of Goods amounted to €1,639.9 million, recording a decrease of 9.3%.
Traveler Arrivals amounted to 710.370 in the period January-April 2026, compared to 865.326 in the corresponding period of 2025, recording a decrease of 17,9%.
