The online conference entitled “Green transition and consumer: The new European legislative framework and the obligations of businesses” organized by the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB), in collaboration with the Consumer Protection Service, was successfully completed.
The conference covered, among others, the following topics:
- The current consumer protection legislative framework, with particular emphasis on the Consumer Protection Law of 2021.
- The new European legislative framework to empower consumers in the context of the green transition.
- The environmental (“green”) claims (green claims) and the way they are evaluated.
- Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 regarding the legal and commercial guarantee of the durability of products.
- The duties and powers of the Consumer Protection Authority as the competent authority to ensure the implementation of the relevant legislation.
- The bill entitled “The Determination of Ecodesign Requirements for Sustainable Products Law of 2026”.
- The right to repair products and the related obligations of businesses.
