One of the new actions of Hotels4Climate is the promotion of Circular Economy in the hotel industry in Cyprus and Greece, which contributes to the greenhouse gas emissions reduction by businesses, through various activities such as capacity building and trainings, raising awareness on Circular Economy and its positive impact on climate neutrality, facilitation of knowledge exchange through workshops, as well as implementing circular practices and business models.
OEB will be organizing free workshops on Circular Economy and climate neutrality transition in hotel businesses in Cyprus and Greece, which will cover the introduction to Circular Economy and supply chains, and opportunities for hotels to implement circular practices and business models.
At this phase, tailored online questionnaire has been circulated to various hotels in Cyprus as we aim to determine the current status of the hotel industry in Cyprus and Greece, as well as the priority hotel sectors with the greatest impact on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.
