The Education, Training and Talent Attraction Committee of OEB, chaired by Mr. Yiangos Hatzigiannis, held a meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, on June 2, 2026, in the context of its contacts with competent bodies on labor market issues, skills development and strengthening the competitiveness of Cyprus’ human resources.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the challenges faced by businesses in finding and maintaining suitable human resources, as well as on the prospects for enhancing employment and productivity of the Cypriot economy.
During the meeting, the common will to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the Committee was confirmed, with the aim of promoting policies and actions that will contribute to a more effective response to the challenges of the labor market and the development of the country’s human resources.
OEB continues to promote dialogue and cooperation with all relevant bodies, with the aim of formulating modern policies that enhance employment, skills and competitiveness of the Cypriot economy.
