Launch of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) Register

The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs interested businesses that the European Commission has put into operation the Digital Product Passport Register (DPP).

Businesses now have the opportunity to take advantage of the available test environment, the technical guidelines, as well as the helpdesk, in order to prepare in time for the implementation of the new framework.

The Registry will support products that fall under the Ecodesign of Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), such as textiles, steel, aluminium, tyres, furniture, technology, information and communication products, as well as energy-related products. At the same time, it will also cover product categories regulated by other EU legislation that require a Digital Product Passport, such as specific types of large batteries, construction products, toys and detergents.

All relevant information, including the technical guidelines and the test environment, is available through the European Commission’s website: Digital Product Passport – Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.

We remain at your disposal for any clarifications.
