The “Let’s Connect” of IMA Cyprus – International Management Assistants, a member of Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), was held with great success at the Royal Apollonia Hotel in Limassol, marking the beginning of the new season of the Association.
A central part of the event was the interactive session “Let’s Connect”, with Guest Moderator Marianna Hadjiandoniou, Founder & Director of PERHA Group, who led the discussion around four main axes: Membership, Culture, Communication and Social Media, with an emphasis on how a professional community can transform a member from a simple participant into an active contributor and, ultimately, an ambassador of the community.
The discussion particularly focused on the concept that membership is not just a record or a number, but a relationship built through experience, participation, and a sense of belonging.
During the session, Marianna Hadjiandoniou highlighted the importance of organizational and professional culture, underlining that culture is not determined by how an organization describes itself, but by what people actually experience in their daily lives. As she characteristically stated:
«Culture is something people experience and feel in their everyday work.»
Particular emphasis was also placed on the role of communication as a link between culture and cooperation. Open, meaningful and consistent communication builds trust, enhances participation and allows people to feel that they are a real part of a community. This topic was already a key point of the initial event and discussions.
The session had a highly interactive character, with participants exchanging experiences and opinions on what it means today to belong to a professional community, what elements create a meaningful connection and how members can evolve from Member → Participant → Contributor → Ambassador.
Through exercises, networking and open discussion, the message emerged:
Connect. Communicate. Create.
The President of IMA Cyprus, Annita Charalambous, described the event as highly interactive and noted that the participants appreciated the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and gain practical knowledge that they can use in their daily professional lives.
IMA Cyprus continues to invest in creating an active and modern professional community, where networking is not just an exchange of contacts, but an opportunity for collaboration, learning, participation, and meaningful professional connection.
