OEB: Cyprus Vaping Association, a new member of OEB

The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) announces the inclusion of the Cyprus Vaping Association in the ranks of its Member Associations, further strengthening the representation of businesses operating in emerging and regulated sectors of the economy.

The Association represents companies active in manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, as well as in the export of vaping products, contributing to the development of a dynamic and extrovert sector of the Cypriot economy.

 

The Association has set the following goals, which it will seek to promote through the collective action of its Members in collaboration with OEB:

  • Implement legislation prohibiting the sale of vaping products to minors and prevent any form of commercial practice that could attract minors.
  • Promotion of responsible business activity in the vaping products market.
  • Informing consumers and competent authorities on vaping-related issues.
  • Utilizing the scientific debate around vaping as a potential low-risk alternative option for adult smokers.
  • Consolidation of the professional ethics of the Members in full compliance with the national and European regulatory framework.
  • Strengthening the dialogue with the State for the adoption of evidence-based and balanced public health policies.

 

During the Founding Assembly of the Association held on 24/06/2026, the following members who make up the Board of Directors were elected:

  • Christos Tamamounas
  • Stavros Charalambous
  • Christos Savva
  • Sofia Demetriou
  • Kostas Nikolaou
  • Nikolas Papasolomontos

 

The Board of Directors will be formed into a body at its next Meeting.

OEB welcomes the Cyprus Vaping Association to its family and expresses confidence that this cooperation will contribute to the promotion of responsible entrepreneurship and the development of an operating framework that will combine the protection of public health with business activity.
