By decision of its General Assembly, the Pancyprian Association of Greenhouses (PASYTHE) joined the Members of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). This decision is a recognition of OEB’s long-standing commitment to supporting all stakeholders that contribute to economic growth and add value to the business ecosystem.
Approximately 1,000 professional farmers are active in the greenhouse sector in Cyprus, highlighting the strategic importance of the sector for Cypriot agricultural production. The inclusion of PASYTHE in OEB also reflects the need for enhanced institutional representation and targeted support of the sector, in an environment that requires rapid adaptation to the enormous new challenges.
OEB, recognizing the essential role of the primary sector in the Cypriot economy and society, reaffirms its commitment to support the productive forces of the country and in particular the agricultural economy, which is the foundation of food sufficiency, self-sufficiency, development and prosperity.
