The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) expresses its satisfaction with the decision of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry to proceed with the third consecutive call for proposals, in the framework of the Digital Upgrading Plan for Enterprises.
Following an appeal by the Cyprus Association of Information Technology Enterprises (CITEA) and OEB, the deadline for submission of applications will be 20 May 2025.
OEB welcomes the positive response of the Ministry to the request of businesses and will continue to closely monitor the implementation of the Plan, providing its Members with every possible support.
The Digital Business Upgrade Plan is part of the THALIA Programme 2021–2027 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus, in the framework of Cohesion Policy.
The total budget of the current call is €14 million and aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises for the adoption of digital technologies and e-commerce solutions. The intensity of the sponsorship reaches up to 50% of the eligible costs (maximum amount of €50,000), while for companies operating in mountainous and disadvantaged areas, the aid rate amounts to 70% (maximum amount of €70,000).
Applications are submitted exclusively electronically through the Sponsorship Scheme System of the Ministry of Finance from 20 May 2025, and will be evaluated in order of priority until the available budget is exhausted.
