Following the announcements of the President of the Republic on the measures to support the economy as a result of the geopolitical developments in the Middle East and regarding the subsidy of the salaries of employees in the hotel industry, the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs the affected members of the following:
The Council of Ministers, by Decision dated 26.3.2026, approved the implementation of the Special Employment Support Plan in the Hotel Sector.
Any hotel unit or tourist accommodation that engages in economic activity and was in operation during the year 2025 can be included in the Special Scheme, provided that it is active during the period from April 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026.
Businesses (hotels / tourist accommodation) that will operate only cafes or restaurants or other related activities beyond accommodation are excluded, as they will not be considered active. Businesses (hotels/tourist accommodation) that exclusively carry out maintenance/repair work or other related work, which cannot be considered as the usual work included in the scope of the companies in question, are also considered as inactive businesses.
