On the above issue, we would like to inform you that the European Commission (EU) has published a draft public consultation on issues related to consumer rights and strengthening their ability to choose products with a longer shelf life.
The draft is available for public consultation until 28 July 2025 at the following European Commission link:https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/14562-Consumer-rights-EU-label-on-product-durability-and-EU-notice-on-legal-guarantees-for-consumers_en and interested businesses can submit any comments, opinions and suggestions contributing substantially to the formulation of an effective, a functional and balanced European framework.
