OEB: Condemns the announcement of measures for Cost of Living Allowance (CoLA) and calls for continuation of dialogue

The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) expresses its dissatisfaction with the decision of the trade unions to resort to strike measures in relation to the Cost of Living Allowance.

Furthermore, it expresses its disappointment that the measures are being taken in violation of the Industrial Relations Code, since even with today’s announcement by the Minister of Labor himself, the dialogue process is still ongoing.

Given that the only person in charge who can declare a deadlock based on the institutions is the Minister of Labor and no one else, the strike measures are irregular and the OEB condemns them. After all, after the strikes, the search for a solution to the dispute becomes more difficult and complicated.

OEB remains committed to the effort to implement what we signed together with the Trade Unions and the Ministry of Labor in 2017 and 2023, for the search and formulation of a “permanent and comprehensive Agreement for a new performance regulation of ATA …”, which in order to be an Agreement must be freely accepted by both sides.

We call on the trade unions to re-evaluate their decisions, cancel the announced measures and return to the table of dialogue.
