OEB ANNOUNCEMENT:
Mr. George Pantelidis of Deloitte New President of OEB – Assumes duties on 7/5/2025
The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) announces that during the Annual General Assembly on May 7, 2025, Mr. Antonis Antoniou completes two consecutive two-year terms as President of the Federation – a period that, according to the Statute, is the maximum that the same person can hold the highest office.
In view of this and applying the provisions of the Statute, a period of 40 days was given for the submission of candidacies, which closed at 12.00 noon on March 14, 2025.
During this period, the exclusive candidacy submitted was that of Mr. George Pantelidis – Head Partner of Deloitte and Deputy Chairman of OEB since 2021 – who assumes the Presidency of the Organization for the two years 2025 – 2027 on May 7.
Mr. Antoniou remains a member of the top leadership of OEB and its collective bodies, as the immediately preceding President.
The process of receiving – handing over the leadership of the largest Employers’ Organization in Cyprus will take place before the President of the Republic and the Authorities of the country, during the Annual General Assembly of OEB on 7/5/2025 at the Hilton Nicosia Hotel.
The election of Mr. Pantelidis to the Presidency of OEB comes as the culmination of his long-standing participation in the collective bodies and in the highest elected offices of the Organization, since he has been a Member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee since 2016 and Deputy President for the last four years.
OEB continues with unity and rally committed to fulfilling its mission for a strong economy and a prosperous society.
