The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs you that the Department of Labor Inspection (TEE), the competent authority for occupational safety and health issues, will conduct an inspection campaign in Hotels, Restaurants and Premises for the Distribution of Ready Meals during the period April-October 2026.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among all those involved in these sectors of economic activity, in order to minimise accidents at work, occupational diseases and dangerous incidents.
It is noted that the campaign will take into account the main causes of occupational accidents and occupational diseases that occur to workers in the above areas and which include the use of sharp objects, falling to the same level and falling from a height, contact with hot surfaces, overturning shelves or falling objects from them, contact with biological agents, the storage and use of chemicals, the manual handling of cargoes and the handling of motorcycles.
In addition, the campaign aims to check the compliance of employers with the relevant provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Legislation for the definition and implementation of appropriate protection and prevention measures, based on the Written Risk Assessment, the implementation of a Risk Management System, and the provision of evidence-based training on Safety and Health issues.
