The Cyprus Organisation of Internet Publishers (KOED), a member of the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB), held its Annual General Assembly on Tuesday 1 July 2025 at the offices of OEB in Nicosia, where issues related to: (a) the latest technological developments in the media sector, (b) the measurement of visits to the websites of the members of the KOED were discussed, (c) the recent changes in ownership status in important SMEs, and (d) the consultations that have started to take place for the advertising of political content based on EU Regulation 2024/900 of the European Parliament.
The New Board of Directors of KOED, for the two-year period 2025-2027, consists of the following members:
- President: Valentinos Georgiou (Alpha Cyprus Ltd)
- Vice President: Dimitris Demetriou (CyprusNews Media Group)
- Treasurer: Giorgos Papadopoulos (MC Digital Media)
- Secretary: Tasos Theodorou (To Thema-On-Line)
- Member: Panagiotis Pentaliotis (Dialogos Media Services Ltd)
The President of KOED, after thanking the members for their support, said that the aim is to further strengthen the role of online publishers, especially in a period of many challenges and daily changes in the sector. Together with the new board and all members, we will continue to uphold our rights and offer the public quality and reliable content and further strengthen our institutional role.
