TransformWork

The Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) participated in TransFormWork (Social Partners and Digital Transformation of the World of Work. New Dimensions of Social Dialogue Arising from the Autonomous Framework Agreement on Digitalisation), a European project whose objective was to support the implementation of the European Social Partners’ Framework Agreement on Digitalisation, as a prerequisite for the anticipated changes brought about by digital transformation.

TransFormWork was implemented between 2021 and 2023, with the financial support of the European Commission Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion DG (budget heading 04.03.01.08), and the participation of organisations from seven countries (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Ireland, Malta, Romania, Sweden).

Programme objectives:

  • Support the development of new approaches at national level for adapting labour markets.
  • Provide basic education and training.
  • Strengthen the role of social partners by ensuring that the conditions of the framework agreement support both employers and employees in benefiting from emerging opportunities.

Three roundtable discussions were held (Malta, Ireland, Bulgaria) within the programme’s framework, featuring presentations by experts and discussions on various topics such as digital transformation, the Autonomous Framework Agreement on Digitalisation, cybersecurity, best practices, applications of Artificial Intelligence, new skills requirements, and more. The project concluded with a dedicated session in Bulgaria, where the final conclusions of the programme and the findings of the comparative report on national practices regarding the implementation of the Framework Agreement were presented.
