The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) informs you that the Department of Labor Inspection (TEE), the competent authority for occupational safety and health issues, has prepared a draft “Code of Practice for Facilities for the Storage of Liquid Petroleum Products in Tanks”, which is attached.
The purpose of the Code is to provide guidance on the design, construction, testing and operation of facilities in which liquid petroleum products are stored in tanks.
The intention of the Technical Chamber of Greece is to issue the Code based on Article 39 of the Safety and Health at Work Laws of 1996 to 2023 and interprets in a simple, understandable way, the legal requirements of its provisions on Safety and Health at Work (Liquid Petroleum Installations) Regulations of 2024 (K.A.P. 173/2024).
As a result of the above, our request is that in case you have any comments, remarks or suggestions, you send them to us as soon as possible and by December 5, 2025 in order to be taken into account in the formulation of our positions, which we will develop and promote during the meeting of the Technical Committee.
