The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs you that the Department of Lands and Surveys has put to public consultation the proposed bill “The Requisition of Property for Public Utility Purposes (Amendment) Law of 2026”.
The purpose of the bill is to modernize specific provisions of the existing legislative framework and improve its functionality. Among other things, regulations are introduced concerning the method of payment of compensation to beneficiaries, the modernization of notification and service procedures through electronic means, the setting of deadlines for recourse to the Court regarding the determination of compensation, as well as transitional provisions for the settlement of pending requisition cases.
