The Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs you that the Ministry of Health has put the proposed bill entitled “The Issuance of Health Certificates Law of 2026” to public consultation.
The purpose of the bill is to establish a single framework for the issuance of health certificates to categories of employees, professionals and other persons for whom a health certificate is required for the purposes of, inter alia, employment, exercise of a profession or obtaining a professional license.
The bill regulates, among other things, who will be required to hold a health certificate, the procedure for issuing it, the doctors who will be able to issue it, the duration of its validity, as well as issues of its suspension or non-issuance.
Interested Members can submit their comments, observations and suggestions on the Proposed Bill “The Health Certificate Issuance Law of 2026” through the electronic platform “e-Consultation”, in accordance with the procedure mentioned in the attached invitation (attached).
The public consultation will remain open until Tuesday 15 September 2026.
