The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), as a member of the Cyprus National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-CY), informs its interested members that the Directorate General for Trade (DG TRADE) of the European Commission has started a process of comprehensive evaluation of Regulation (EU) 2021/821 on Dual-Use Items.
The Regulation concerns the control of exports, brokering, technical assistance, transit and transfer of goods, software and technology that can be used for both civilian and military purposes.
As part of the evaluation, businesses and other stakeholders are invited to participate in the following processes:
1. Open Public Consultation and Call for Input

2. Targeted Consultation for businesses, research organizations and academic institutions
Deadline: September 11, 2026
Targeted Consultation on the Overall Evaluation of the Dual-Use Regulation
The input of stakeholders is particularly important in assessing the effectiveness, efficiency and overall implementation of the Regulation. Therefore, the relevant bodies are encouraged to submit their views and suggestions through the above consultations.
