CSR Cyprus: A new decade with strategy, partnerships and new initiatives

The Cyprus Network for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR Cyprus), a member of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), held its 10th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Larnaca, presenting its strategy for the new decade and a comprehensive program of initiatives that further enhances the value it offers to its members.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its establishment, CSR Cyprus presented the anniversary program “CSR Cyprus | The New Decade”, as well as the initiative “10 Years – 10 Actions for our Members”, a comprehensive program of actions that will be implemented by the end of 2026 and focuses on education, international networking, the exchange of good practices and the strategic redefinition of the Association.

In this context, CSR Cyprus announced that it is proceeding, among other things, with a survey among its members with the aim of recording their needs and priorities for the new era of the Association, its strategic repositioning with the support of a specialized consultant, as well as the implementation of international educational and networking activities, including an educational program in Spain, participation in the CSR Europe Annual Summit, specialized webinars and new practical initiatives that will further enhance the value it offers to its members.

The event was honored by the presence and greetings of the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Klea Hatzistefanou Papaellina, the Commissioner for Gender Equality, Jozi Christodoulou, the Commissioner for Environment and Animal Welfare, Antonia Theodosiou, as well as the General Director of OEB, Michalis Antoniou.

In her opening speech, the President of CSR Cyprus, Sotiroula Sotiriou, said:

“Today we are not only celebrating the first ten years of CSR Cyprus. We are inaugurating the new decade of its course. From the 24 founding members of 2016, today we have 71 members, which proves that more and more businesses recognize the value of sustainability and responsible entrepreneurship. The new decade will not be judged by the number of our actions, but by the value we will create for our members and, by extension, for Cypriot society.”

Guided by cooperation, innovation and sustainable development, CSR Cyprus is entering the second decade of its course with the aim of becoming an even more essential partner of businesses, actively contributing to the creation of a more responsible, competitive and sustainable Cypriot economy and society.
