The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) informs you that the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry is participating in the process of formulating the national positions of the Republic of Cyprus in view of the meeting of the Market Access Advisory Committee (MAAC), which will take place on June 10, 2026.
As part of this process, the European Commission will examine the market access situation for Australia and the United Kingdom, with a focus on the trade barriers that continue to affect businesses and producers in the European Union.
Businesses operating or exporting in these markets are kindly requested to study the attached trade barrier lists and to inform us of any obstacles that continue to cause concern or affect their business.
Your views and suggestions should be sent directly to Mr. Christoforos Triantafyllou, Energy, Trade and Industry Officer (ctriantafyllou@meci.gov.cy), no later than Tuesday, June 09, 2026, so that they can be taken into account in the formulation of national positions.
For the sake of better documentation, the undertakings concerned may, if they so wish, give a brief description of how they are affected by these trade barriers.
For any clarification on the process or the barriers recorded, interested parties can contact:
