On the occasion of the near interruption of the Pame Express passenger transport service, the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) reiterates its desperate call for measures to solve the problem of the acute shortage of professional drivers faced by the passenger and goods transport sector and the economy as a whole.
Despite the repeated representations of OEB and the submission of specific suggestions for a number of years for immediate and medium-term solutions, the problem not only does not alleviate but is constantly deteriorating, seriously affecting the operation of public passenger transport and supply chains.
OEB reiterates its readiness to work with the State and all stakeholders for the immediate implementation of solutions that will contribute to addressing the problem and the sustainability of the transport sector.
