The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs about the European initiative “EuroSteps Walking Challenge: Smart steps for smart finance!”, which is promoted by the European Central Bank and the Central Bank of Cyprus, in the context of strengthening financial literacy.
It is an innovative action that combines physical activity with financial education, leveraging the “Walk15” mobile phone application.

1 – 30 April 2026
Initiative Objective
To enhance citizens’ knowledge and skills in managing their personal finances, through an interactive and practical experience.
Simply put: you walk , learn, and level up — both fitness and financial IQ.
How it works
The participants:
- They record their daily steps through the app
- They contribute to Cyprus’ position in the pan-European ranking
- Receive weekly updates with helpful financial advice
How to participate
- Download the Walk15 app
- Select Country: Cyprus
- Record your daily steps
- Read the updates you will receive
- Continue the effort throughout the month
Benefits & Prizes
- All participants will receive a personalized digital diploma
- The top 5 in number of steps will win special prizes
- In addition, 5 random winners will be selected through a draw
