The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) wishes to draw your attention to increased reports of phishing/fraud incidents related to alleged invoice payment requests.
E-mails have been observed which are presented with the OEB logo, use misleading sender addresses such as Oeb Billing and with the e-mail address rodash@cytanetcy.com and ask for the immediate payment of an invoice. These messages are fraudulent and pose a serious risk of financial damage.
Below is a sample of the wording in the relevant scam message:
Dear Customer,
Your invoice is now available online. You can view it and proceed to pay through your service or via the link below. The relevant PDF file is attached/available.
VIEW INVOICE / VIEW ELECTRONIC ACCOUNT
If the link doesn’t work, copy and paste the following address into your browser:

We recommend that:
- Check the sender and email address very carefully.
- Do not make any payment without prior confirmation from our accounting department.
- Don’t open links or attachments from suspicious messages.
- Always cross-check requests to change bank accounts by telephone.
- Immediately inform your IT/accounting department of any suspicious incident.
