The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs its Members that the Maternity Protection (Amendment) Law
of 2025 was voted by the House of Representatives and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus on 20 May 2025.
Based on the amendment, the period within which the working mother may work part-time (one hour less per day) is extended from nine to twelve months after the birth or the start of maternity leave, in cases of adoption.
