The Cyprus Innovation Awards of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), an institution that highlights and rewards innovation in the business world of Cyprus, took place with great brilliance.
Through this year’s event, innovative ideas and practices were distinguished that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of Cypriot businesses. The awardees come from various sectors of the economy, proving that innovation is a driving force in every sector.
In particular, OEB awarded:
- The company Charalambides Christis in the category “Primary Sector”. Charalambides Christis, the largest and longest-running dairy company in Cyprus, was awarded for the pioneering implementation of the Animal Welfare certification program in the country’s farms.
- Advanced Automation Systems in the “Manufacturing Sector” category. The OEB Innovation Award in the Manufacturing Sector was awarded to Advanced Automation Systems Ltd for the development of intelligent drip irrigation pipe production methods, using Artificial Intelligence.
- KEDIFAP with the Award in the Services Sector. The award was awarded to KEDIFAP, a leading company in the distribution of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products, for the development and implementation of an innovative automated pick-up, storage, sorting and distribution center using robotic systems.
- The CyprusInstitute in the category “Social Innovation Award”. The OEB Innovation Award in the Field of Social Innovation was awarded to the Cyprus Institute and specifically to the “Andreas Pittas” Art Characterization Laboratories (APAC Labs) for the development of a process for the characterization of works of art using innovative analysis and documentation technologies with the aim of studying, protecting and highlighting cultural heritage.
OEB, through this institution, continues to enhance the creativity and development of businesses, rewarding the best applications and innovative actions implemented in Cyprus.
