Impressive success of the Forum for the Promotion of Cyprus-Greek business cooperation

A Business Forum between Cypriot and Greek Enterprises, organized by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and Industries (SEV), the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the Exporters’ Association (SEVE) and Enterprise Greece, was held with impressive success in Nicosia.

The Forum was held in in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Anastasios Hadjivassiliou, the Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Extroversion of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dimitris Skalkos, the Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus, Mr. Ioannis Papameletiou, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Ambassador Andreas Kakouris, and the President of OEB, Mr. Antonis Antoniou, solemnly highlighting the importance that the two countries attach to the strengthening of their trade and investment relations.

Supporters of the initiative were the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry of Cyprus, the Embassy of Cyprus in Athens, the Greek Embassy in Nicosia and the sponsor was Eurobank.

The main barometer of the Forum’s success was the 250 business meetings (B2B) of Greek and Cypriot businesses that gave the participants the opportunity to present their products and services and examine prospects for cooperation in the fields of industry, technology, information technology, energy, environmental management and construction.

This action is part of OEB’s continuous efforts to promote the extroversion of Cypriot businesses and strengthen their partnerships with international partners.

With the cooperation and support of the competent Ministry of Energy, Trade & Industry and other co-competent Ministries/Deputy Ministries and state bodies, OEB is dynamically involved in the organization of targeted business missions in promising international markets.
