The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) welcomes the decision of the Council of Ministers to establish the Cyprus Defence Industry Council (KSAV). This decision marks a new era for the defence industry of Cyprus and is an opportunity to highlight the excellent work already being done in our country, while paving the way for the implementation of even more initiatives.
The CSAB is called upon to play a key role in the integration of research and innovation in the defence industry, creating a dynamic ecosystem that will lead to the development of cutting-edge products and services.
Since its establishment, OEB has been dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship through the promotion of research and innovation as a driving force for improving the competitiveness of Cypriot businesses. Through institutions such as the Cyprus Innovation Award, dozens of companies and organizations that are pioneering have been highlighted and rewarded by OEB, incorporating the culture of innovation into their DNA, as well as in dual-use products.
OEB’s valuable experience and strong ties with leading technology companies, its dozens of Business Associations – Members and the country’s academic institutions, contribute to the smooth and effective interconnection of research centers with the business world. The goal of OEB is to maximize synergies and implement every opportunity that will arise in the coming years.
The importance that OEB attaches to the newly established institution of KSAV is of the utmost importance and therefore its participation in the Council is done through its highest official, President Antonis Antoniou.
