The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), following the information sent (attached) by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry dated July 17, 2026, to all tenants of Industrial Areas on the subject of fire prevention, calls on businesses to carefully apply the instructions of the competent Authority.<\/p>\n
OEB supports the actions taken by the Ministry for the prevention and containment of fires and underlines that the effective protection of Industrial Areas is a collective responsibility of both the tenants and the lessor Authority. The achievement of this common goal requires close cooperation, coordination and timely response of all those involved. <\/p>\n
Fire prevention is the most important means of protecting human life, the health and safety of workers, business premises, residents of adjacent residential zones and the natural environment. At the same time, it helps to ensure business continuity and prevent serious economic and social impacts. <\/p>\n
In this context, OEB urges businesses to properly inform their staff, assess their degree of preparedness and ensure that their internal emergency response procedures are up-to-date and known to employees. It is also of particular importance to immediately inform the competent authorities of any change in the facilities, activities or uses of the premises, which may increase the risk of fire. <\/p>\n
OEB calls on the affected businesses to respond immediately to the recommendations of the Ministry and other competent authorities and to contribute in practice to the maintenance of safe Industrial Areas.<\/p>\n
