{"id":52162,"date":"2026-03-17T13:53:40","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T11:53:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oeb.org.cy\/revised-decree-on-the-employment-of-foreign-students-from-third-countries\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T13:53:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T11:53:40","slug":"revised-decree-on-the-employment-of-foreign-students-from-third-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oeb.org.cy\/en\/revised-decree-on-the-employment-of-foreign-students-from-third-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"Revised Decree on the Employment of Foreign Students from Third Countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Regarding the above issue, the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs its member companies about the issuance of a revised Decree by the competent Minister of Labor &amp; Social Insurance regarding the Employment of Foreign Students from Third Countries and which was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic today, 06 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Decree defines the sectors of economic activity and professions in which the employment of third-country nationals who are in the Republic as students is allowed, provided that they have <strong>completed their first academic semester of study and have enrolled in the second academic semester.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the employment of students, it is required, among other things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate of full-time study and program of study from a recognized institution.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly work schedule from the employer.<\/li>\n<li>Copy of residence permit in the Republic.<\/li>\n<li>An employment contract with a specific employer, certified by the Department of Labour, stating the basic terms of employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Decree is attached for easy reference.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeb.org.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/%CE%91%CE%BD%CE%B1%CE%B8%CE%B5%CF%89%CF%81%CE%B7%CE%BC%CE%AD%CE%BD%CE%BF-%CE%94%CE%B9%CE%AC%CF%84%CE%B1%CE%B3%CE%BC%CE%B1-%CE%91%CF%80%CE%B1%CF%83%CF%87%CF%8C%CE%BB%CE%B7%CF%83%CE%B7%CF%82-%CE%91%CE%BB%CE%BB%CE%BF%CE%B4%CE%B1%CF%80%CF%8E%CE%BD-%CE%B4%CF%85%CE%BD%CE%AC%CE%BC%CE%B5%CE%B9-%CF%84%CE%BF%CF%85-%CE%AC%CF%81%CE%B8%CF%81%CE%BF%CF%85-24.pdf\"><em><strong>Revised Decree on the Employment of Foreigners under Article 24<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For further information, those interested can contact the Department of Labor Relations &amp; Social Policy of OEB at 22 643000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regarding the above issue, the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs its member companies about the issuance of a revised Decree by the competent Minister of Labor &amp; Social Insurance regarding the Employment of Foreign Students from Third Countries and which was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic today, 06 March 2026.
