CRISIS IN THE MIDDLE EAST – OEB NEXT TO BUSINESSES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday, March 1st, in the afternoon, an extraordinary meeting was held under the Chairman of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), Mr. George Pantelides, with the participation of the Director General and the Directors of all the Departments of the Organization, in order to assess the situation and the economic and business implications of the military operations in the wider region of the Middle East.<\/sup> <\/p>\n

The following emerged from the meeting:<\/p>\n

  1. In relation to problems that may arise in the management, conduct and processing of the business activities of any company of Cypriot interests in relation to or as a consequence of the crisis, OEB has set up a special team which will collect the requests, record and codify the problems and forward them to the competent Authorities on a case-by-case basis, in cooperation with which it will try to propose solutions or ways of handling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. In relation to the management of requests of Cypriots and their families in the affected areas, the competent State Authorities have mobilized immediately and in a coordinated manner and have made the local Cypriot Embassies available to any interested party.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
