Based on the data kept at the District Labor Offices, the number of registered unemployed at the end of September 2025 amounted to 7,624 people. Based on seasonally adjusted data, which reflect the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed in September 2025 decreased to 9,711 people, compared to 10,053 in the previous month. (Table 1) <\/p>\n

Compared to September 2024, a decrease of 518 people or 6,4% was recorded. This decrease is mainly attributed to the sectors of trade, construction, financial and insurance activities, manufacturing, as well as to the decrease in new entrants to the labor market. (Table 2) <\/p>\n

Methodological Information<\/strong><\/p>\n

Registered Unemployed<\/strong><\/p>\n

The number of registered unemployed refers to persons over 15 years of age who apply to the District and Local Employment Offices of the Department of Labour to find a job and are registered as unemployed. These individuals must be able and available for work and actively seeking work. The monthly number of registered unemployed refers to people who, on the last day of each month, have an active application to find a job. <\/p>\n

The number of registered unemployed does not include the self-employed, people looking for part-time work as well as people looking for work in a specific area or in a specific employer.<\/p>\n

Seasonally Corrected Data<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seasonal Correction is a statistical technique that removes the effect of seasonality from a chronological order, thereby making the actual trend in the change of a magnitude more visible. For the application of the seasonal adjustment, the Statistical Service uses the JDemetra+ 2.2.2 software developed by Eurostat. The production of the custom time series is done with the TRAMO&SEATS algorithm. It should be noted that due to the seasonal correction, the entire chronological order of the monthly estimates is recalculated each time the data of a new month are added. This recalculation often leads to revisions of estimates for previous months. In March 2020, the model applied was readjusted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
