{"id":48873,"date":"2025-10-13T16:27:23","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T14:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oeb.org.cy\/identifying-trade-barriers-in-the-malaysian-and-vietnamese-markets\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T16:27:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T14:27:23","slug":"identifying-trade-barriers-in-the-malaysian-and-vietnamese-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oeb.org.cy\/en\/identifying-trade-barriers-in-the-malaysian-and-vietnamese-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"Identifying Trade Barriers in the Malaysian and Vietnamese Markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"816\">The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs its Members that on <strong data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"402\">15 October 2025<\/strong> a meeting of the <strong data-start=\"435\" data-end=\"533\">Market Access Advisory Committee (MAAC)<\/strong> will be held, during which the <strong data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"574\">European Commission<\/strong> will examine the market access situation for <strong data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"641\">Malaysia<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"660\">Vietnam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"816\"><br data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"664\">The debate will focus on the <strong data-start=\"697\" data-end=\"720\">trade barriers<\/strong> faced by European Union companies and producers in these two markets.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"1020\">As part of the process, Member States are invited to submit their views through an online survey, recording barriers affecting local businesses and industries.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1123\">The <strong data-start=\"1024\" data-end=\"1094\">Trade Service \u2013 Trade Policy and Bilateral Relations Branch<\/strong> calls on businesses to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1477\">\n<li data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1262\">\n<p data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1262\">Study the <strong data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1191\">attached lists of trade barriers<\/strong> concerning the markets of Malaysia and Vietnam (in PDF format).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1477\">\n<p data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1477\">Send <strong data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1338\">by Friday, October 11, 2025 (end of the day),<\/strong> any information or observations regarding obstacles that continue to cause concern or affect their export activity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1749\">The views and information gathered will be used to shape the <strong data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1583\">national positions<\/strong> of Cyprus during the MAAC session. Optionally, businesses can briefly indicate <strong data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1723\">how they are affected<\/strong> by these barriers. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1782\"><strong data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1780\">Important clarifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"2198\">\n<li data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"1940\">\n<p data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1940\">Businesses <strong data-start=\"1801\" data-end=\"1832\">do not need to submit<\/strong> the survey directly to the European Commission.
