This strike blatantly violates not only the Industrial Relations Code and labour institutions, but also any notion of respect for trilateral cooperation. <\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At a time of great international uncertainty and enormous challenges, the hotel workers&#8217; unions choose the conflict, in the middle of the tourist season, ignoring that any strike measures constitute a blow to all other workers and businesses that rely on tourism.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">OEB calls on the sector&#8217;s trade unions to behave responsibly towards the country and to withdraw the threats of measures.  <\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At the same time, we call on the competent Ministry of Labor to intervene decisively to prevent the disruption of the sector and the victimization of tourists.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) unequivocally condemns as unacceptable the threats of strike measures announced today by the hotel employees&#8217; unions OUXEKA \u2013 SEK and SYXKA \u2013 PEO.
