The Department of Electromechanical Services informs the consumer that it has identified the following product on the market, which does not comply with the basic safety requirements of the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (LVD) Directive, since it entails substantial and serious safety risks for the user and property. In addition, it is not accompanied by the required EU declaration of conformity and the required technical dossier. Therefore, the importer has voluntarily withdrawn and recalled it from the market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

This equipment is used as a central protective device and is usually placed in the cabinet or in the meter room, after the AC meter.<\/p>\n

Licensed electricians who are in possession of the above product are requested not to use\/install it, and to return it immediately to the seller, i.e. to the store from which they have purchased it. In addition, they are asked to inform their customers who have installed the specific product in order to proceed with its replacement. <\/p>\n

Furthermore, consumers who detect that the above product is installed in their premises, should contact a licensed electrician to arrange its replacement.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the product to be replaced must be returned to the importer, who is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of the withdrawal and recall. In addition, the economic operator responsible for the recall of the equipment for safety reasons is obliged to provide the consumer with an effective, free and timely way of repair, without any time limitation. <\/p>\n
