A skills development workshop was held in Warsaw, 13-16 November 2018, for people who manage projects funded by the EUKI. Representatives of 14 projects launched with Business4Climate + in October 2018, participated in the training. The Skills Development Training Program aimed to enhance the personal skills and, and by extension, the organization\u2019s, involved in EUKI funded projects in the development and the management of complex cooperation projects, the analysis of the various requirements of the stakeholders, the determination of the scope for action, the strengthening of the capacity to take action in a complex environment. In the workshop participated Mrs Anthi Charalambous, Head of Energy & Environment Division at OEB.<\/p>\n

The overall objective of each project funded by EUKI is to initiate social change in the specific sub-sector that each project deals with. This change is the result of interaction between different organizations between the project consortium, the political level, civil society and other actors pursuing a common goal.<\/p>\n

A key factor for the successful implementation of these projects and thus the foundation for social development is to bring the right stakeholders with the necessary resources together and to manage this cooperation system in the most effective way.<\/p>\n

CAPACITY WORKS<\/a> is a management model specifically designed for such complex cooperation projects. It provides key questions and a toolbox to support analysis, strategy development and results-oriented implementation along five so-called success factors:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Strategy<\/strong>: Cooperation systems succeed when the partners involved agree a joint strategy to achieve jointly defined objectives.<\/li>\n
  2. Cooperation<\/strong>: Good cooperation is based on trust and the negotiation of appropriate forms of cooperation, and clearly defined roles.<\/li>\n
  3. Steering structure<\/strong>: Agreements on how the actors involved will jointly prepare and take relevant decisions provide orientation and reliability.<\/li>\n
  4. Processes<\/strong>: Successful cooperation systems provide clarity regarding effective ways of delivering outputs, for which new processes need to be established or existing one adjusted.<\/li>\n
  5. Learning & innovation<\/strong>: The cooperation partners create an enabling environment for innovation by strengthening the learning capacities of the actors involved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
